STRIKFORNATO will exercise the integration of Carrier Strike Group Eight during Trident Juncture

Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) will exercise the integration of Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group as part of a NATO Expanded Task Force during the tactical phase of exercise Trident Juncture 2018. The exercise began on October 25th, and will continue until November 7th in Norway.

BALTOPS 17 to set sail in June

(25 May 2017) OEIRAS, Portugal- The 45th edition of Exercise BALTIC OPERATIONS (BALTOPS) will take place in the Baltic Sea from 1 to 16 June. Air, maritime, and ground assets from several NATO Allies and Partner Nations will be involved in the live training event that sets sail from Szczecin, Poland and finishes in Kiel, Germany.

USS Arlington Supports Amphibious Landing During Trident Juncture 15

PINHEIRO DA CRUZ, Portugal – Sailors and Marines from the amphibious transport dock USS Arlington (LPD 24) conducted an amphibious landing at Pinheiro da Cruz training range alongside Portuguese Marines from the 2nd Fuzeleiros Battalion as part of Trident Juncture 2015 on Oct. 20, 2015.

The landing was conducted jointly between the two nations utilizing landing craft air cushions (LCACs) from Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4 and CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).

U.S. Forces to Combine with Portuguese for Trident Juncture 2015

NAPLES, Italy – United States and Portuguese Marines will conduct combined planning and execute an amphibious landing in Pinheiro da Cruz, Portugal, Oct. 20, 2015.

U.S. Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and a company of Portuguese Marines from 2nd Battalion will launch from USS Arlington (LPD 24) in helicopters and landing craft to seize exercise objectives ashore.

BALTOPS 2015 Comes to a Close as Its Docks in Kiel, Germany

KIEL, Germany – The BALTOPS 2015 exercise came to a close today, June 19, 2015, in Kiel, Germany as the USS San Antonio and other NATO member and partner ships tied ashore at the Kiel Naval Base in Northern Germany. With ships from 17 nations, this year’s exercise concluded with the largest contingent of air, ground and maritime forces ever assembled for this exercise since its inception 43 years ago. BALTOPS 2015 to Kick Off on Friday

NAPLES, Italy - Seventeen NATO and partner nations will participate in the 43rd iteration of the multinational maritime exercise BALTOPS 2015 in Poland, Sweden, Germany, and throughout the Baltic Sea, June 5-20, 2015.

BALTOPS is an annually recurring multinational exercise designed to enhance flexibility and interoperability, and will involve air, ground and maritime forces working together to strengthen combined response capabilities necessary to ensuring regional stability.
